Nursing Assistant (PCT / HUC) | 2H ICU, Cardiovascular ICU

Unit Description:

2H ICU is a 12-bed cardio/thoracic ICU unit. This unit services post-op cardiac surgery patients, cardiac intervention, unstable post-op patients requiring direct ICU admission and complex care ICU patients.

Job Description: 

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member, the Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Tech (PCT/HUC): 

• provides direct patient care and related support by performing selected nursingprocedures .

• routine duties toassistmedical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients. 

Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures Required: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification (SRNA, CNA)required orsuccessful completion of first year of a Nursing program and validation of a clinical rotation consistent with level of education. 

• Basic life support- Applicants will have30 daysfrom their hired date to provide completion of this certification if theydon’thave it already.
