Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare for Patient Visits:Review and update patient records before face-to-face or Telehealth appointments, ensuring all recent test results and correspondence are up-to-date.
• Maintain Exam Rooms:Clean and stock exam rooms between patient visits, adhering to infection control standards.
• Patient Preparation:Prepare patients for their visit and notify the physician or mid-level provider when they are ready to be seen.
• Initial Medical Screening:Greet patients, take vital signs, and document basic medical history accurately.
• Assist During Exams:Support physicians or mid-level providers during patient examinations.
• Efficient Use of Time:Restock supplies, check inventory, and keep all areas clean and orderly.

Qualifications:

• Communication Skills:Excellent ability to take medical histories, understand instructions, and document information accurately. High degree of diplomacy and tact.
• Technical Skills:Beginner to intermediate computing and phone skills.
• Flexibility:Willingness to adapt to various job duties and cross-train within other departments.
• Multi-tasking:Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
• Cultural Sensitivity:Experience working with diverse populations.
• Professionalism:Knowledge of “Universal Precautions” and adherence to HIPAA standards.
• Language Skills:Bilingual in English/Spanish or other languages is a plus.
• Driver’s License:Valid State Driver’s License preferred.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current, valid Certification of Medical Assistant
• Current, valid CPR certification.
