Position Purpose:

In accordance withthe Mission, Core Values and Vision; the Registered Nurse Pre-Admissions Testing will provide care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person's physical, emotional,socialand spiritual needs within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. The Registered Nurse functioning in the spirit ofteamwork,is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the Organization.

What you will do:

  • Provides nursing care, ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and qualityinitiativesandexhibitsprofessionalism in nursing practice within the model of the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®.

  • Assesses and evaluates patient care for an assigned group of patients, utilizingevidence basedpractice. Collaborates withpatientand family to develop and implement a plan of care that includes physical,spiritualand educational components.

  • Accurately communicates pertinent information toappropriate teammembersin a timely manner. Keeps patient/family apprised/updated.

  • Documents accurately and completelypertinentassessments,interventionsand outcomes for patientsin accordance withdocumentation standards, policies,proceduresand/or guidelines.

  • Provides clinical telephone communication as defined by protocol or provider instructions.

  • Assistsprovider withpatient assessment,examinationsand treatments.

  • Thoroughly educates and explains procedures to patients and family members (diagnosis, diseaseprocessetc.).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate from school of nursing.

  • Licensure / Certification:In good standing with a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.

  • Experience:One year experience in surgical services preferred.
