The successful candidate:
Hours M-F 6am-2:30pm
The Buffet Line Attendant / Pizza Cook is responsible for setting up and serving food in a fast-paced buffet environment while maintaining cleanliness, maintaining food quality and making pizzas, and providing friendly service to guests. This role ensures that all buffet items are well-stocked, properly labeled, and visually appealing while also supporting kitchen operations as needed.
Minimum Job Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
Culinary Arts education preferred
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience in Food and Beverage/Hospitality/High-volume hospital cafeteria setting, preferred
License/ Certification/ Permit:
Currently dated Food Handler’s Permit from County/State Health Department in which you reside if required by the state (Required in AZ). ServeSafe Preferred
Certification from an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) food handler training accredited program or obtained within 30 days of employment (Required in IL). ServeSafe preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Buffet Setup & Maintenance
Set up the buffet line with fresh, properly prepared food items.
Monitor food levels and restock items throughout the shift.
Ensure buffet pans, utensils, and stations are clean, organized, andmaintainedat propertemperature.
Remove and replace items that no longer meet quality standards.
Food Preparation & Pizza Making
Prepare pizzasfor lunch hours.
Operate pizza ovens andmaintainproper cooking times and temperatures.
Assistwith general food prep including chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients.
Follow all food handling and safety procedures.
Customer Service
Greet andassistguests at the buffet line.
Answer questions about menu items and ingredients.
Serve food items when necessary and ensure guests have a positive dining experience.
Cleaning & Safety
Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment at all times.
Follow health department regulations, including proper food storage and temperature control.
Clean buffet equipment, counters, and surrounding areas at the end of each shift.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $18.21 - $23.46 / hour
