We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Oncology Per Diem, Registered Nurse to provide flexible coverage across multiple ambulatory clinics, including Irvine, Sand Canyon, Newport Beach, Fashion Island, and Long Beach.

This role offers a dynamic opportunity to care for a diverse patient population. At our Irvine/Sand Canyon location, you will support non-oncology patients with a variety of diagnoses and chronic conditions requiring biologic and immunotherapy treatments. In our additional clinic settings, you will play a key role in delivering chemotherapy and comprehensive oncology care, supporting patients throughout their cancer treatment journey.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Assessing patients’ health status
  • Developing and implementing care plans
  • Administering medications, monitoring patents’ vital signs and symptoms
  • Providing education and support to patients and their families and coordinating care and follow-up appointments. Help with managing side effects and complications from their cancer treatment.Involved in quality improvement initiatives, and patient education programs specific to cancer care.
  • Utilizes the nursing process based on evidence-based best practices to meet the patient care needs.
  • Additional duties include stocking and maintaining infusion supplies, ensuring treatment areas are organized and prepared for patient flow.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Your qualifications should include:

  • Associate degree in nursing
  • RN III - 3+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse; If having less than 3 years of experience as a RN, will be considered as RN I
  • Current California Registered Nurse license
  • Current BLS through American Heart Association
  • A valid ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Provider Card is required

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $57.19 - $85.79 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
