Position Summary:

The Manager, Practice Management is responsible for the operational oversight of assigned multi-disciplinary clinics and implementation of strategic initiatives to support ambulatory operations. The manager provides the leadership necessary to ensure the success of day to day operations and leads activities related to employee engagement, physician relations, financial management, facilities, patient experience, process improvement, integration, compliance, charge capture, and clinic efficiency. They support the development of and adherence to operating and capital budgets. They are responsible for creating, monitoring, and communicating key performance metrics for the clinic and developing action plans to achieve targets. This role is critical in overseeing and managing the delivery of clinical and non clinical services and interfaces with enterprise leaders to optimize clinic performance.

The manager collaborates with the Executive Director of Ambulatory Operations, physician lead, and nurse leaders to develop operational strategies to ensure the success of clinics and services consistent with the organization’s goals. They will partner with Access, Pharmacy, Imaging, Patient Financial Services, and other support departments to establish standards and excellence in care delivery.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Lead and manage daily operations across multi-disciplinary clinic environments
  • Oversee hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of administrative staff
  • Drive employee engagement and foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture
  • Partner with physicians and leadership to optimize clinic workflows and patient experience
  • Monitor key performance metrics and implement action plans to achieve operational targets
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and healthcare laws
  • Manage budgets, control costs, and support financial performance initiatives
  • Improve operational efficiency through process improvement and strategic planning
  • Collaborate with departments such as Access, Pharmacy, Imaging, and Patient Financial Services
  • Support program growth, clinic expansion, and integration initiatives

Your qualifications should include:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3-5 years of experience.
  • Experience to include working in a medical/hospital setting with physicians and high-level executives for strategic planning, operations and problem solving.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $41.75 - $69.72 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
