Position Description:

The University of Louisville Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a Department Coordinator II who will be an assistant to the Chair.Responsibilities for this staff position include:

  • Proactively maintain the Chair’s calendar, prioritize outstanding commitments, and schedule high-level meetings to ensure all deadlines are met.

  • Assist the Chair with a wide range of tasks, including drafting professional correspondence, compiling lecture materials, and preparing research publications.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for faculty, trainees, and external local, regional, and national organizations where the Chair holds leadership roles.

  • Coordinate complex academic travel arrangements and manage the administrative functions critical to the department's daily operations.

  • Manage the Chair’s competing priorities and commitments, ensuring high-level deadlines are met and departmental workflow remains seamless.

  • Provide dedicated administrative support for faculty and departmental meetings, including agenda preparation and precise minute-taking.

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
